New playground to open at Reinhart Volunteer Park

The new playground structures at Reinhart Volunteer Park open at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 3, 2024.

There are play structures for children 5-12 years old (Big Kids), and younger children 2-5 years old (Tot Lot). The City worked with the State and received additional grant funding to utilize rubber tile for the complete playground surfacing. There is even a section of rubber tiles laid out in the form of a hopscotch grid.

Reinhart Volunteer Park is the City's most popular park destination, and this two-structure playground system was chosen after input through a community survey.

Money for this project came entirely from Tourism Lodging Tax revenue and a grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department Land Water and Conservation Fund.
