With a generous gift of $25,000, Deborah Viola '84, PhD, established the endowed Daniel Viola Family Scholarship for Neurodiversity.

As part of the University's Momentum 2 endowment match campaign, Viola's gift will be matched dollar for dollar by the University, doubling its impact.

The scholarship, named for her son, aims to provide annual financial assistance to students participating in the Bridges to Adelphi program at Adelphi, which provides specialized academic, social and vocational services to neurodiverse students.

Dr. Viola attended Adelphi with a prestigious Phi Beta Kappa full-tuition scholarship and graduated summa cum laude from the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business. As a student, she was a founding member of the Kappa Rho chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, a national fraternity for individuals pursuing careers in business. Today, Dr. Viola is vice president of the Office of Research and Grants Administration of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.

Dr. Viola is ardently supportive of her alma mater. She serves as a member of the President's Advisory Council, the Willumstad School Advisory Board, the Adelphi Women's Giving Circle and the steering committee for the University's annual Women's Leadership Conference.
