Secure Records Solutions Merges with Records Management Center

May 1, 2024 - THOMASVILLE, GA - Secure Records Solutions (SRS) is pleased to announce its merger with Records Management Center of Augusta, Georgia, creating a new market leader in document management across the Southeast.

SRS is a family owned and operated company headquartered in Thomasville, Georgia. The merger with Records Management Center (RMC), the sixth for SRS, increases its shredding footprint to include a radius of 150 miles and over 20 counties surrounding the greater Augusta area. In addition to shredding services, SRS also acquired the records storage division of RMC, now serving 1,600 clients nationwide.

"Our team has known the Anderson family as industry friends for many years," said Christopher Jones, President and CEO of Secure Records Solutions. The team at SRS recognized the legacy of excellence and service Frank, his family, and their business had built over the last 70 years, nearly 40 of those in the records industry.

"When the time came for the RMC team to transition the records storage and shredding division of RBW Logistics, we worked together to ensure records management clients would receive the best possible security and service, in addition to an expanded suite of document management services," said Jones. "This allows the RBW team to focus on their growing transportation and logistics company."

Secure Records Solutions offers a diverse suite of document management services above and beyond storage and shredding, including indexing projects to help clients understand what they have, retention policy consulting and development, document scanning, scan-on-demand digital delivery and more. The SRS team holds the industry's highest certifications, including the PRISM Privacy+ Certification, NAID AAA Certification, and an accreditation by the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC), ensuring they meet the many requirements their clients face when seeking proper management of sensitive records.

"When choosing Secure Records Solutions, it was important to us to find a partner who would increase the value our clients receive," Frank Anderson said. "We're pleased that RMC customers will immediately benefit from the platform of services, certifications and solutions SRS has built over the last twenty years."

This announcement occurs soon after the 20th anniversary of Secure Records Solutions. In October 2003, Thomasville native W. Powell Jones founded Secure Records Solutions (SRS), and his oldest son, Christopher, joined the company in 2011. Over the past twenty years, SRS has experienced monumental growth due to its expanded service offerings and emphasis on high-touch service and creative problem solving.

"Twenty years is an important milestone, and this acquisition really speaks to the growth of the business and our commitment to the industry," says founder Powell Jones. "We are grateful to the RMC team for trusting us to take care of the client relationships they've cultivated for decades," Jones continued. "We do not take that responsibility lightly. We have built our business on great relationships and are excited to have the opportunity to serve RMC's clients as well."
