State Police arrest Hoosick Falls man for Rape

On April 25, 2024, State Police of Brunswick arrested Jahn M. Ortiz, 24, of Hoosick Falls, NY, for two counts of Rape in the third degree, a class "E" felony, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class "A" misdemeanor.

In March 2024, Investigators received information that an adult man had inappropriate contact with a child. The investigation determined Ortiz allegedly had sexual contact with a child under the age of 17 in 2023 while in the town of Hoosick, NY.

Ortiz was arrested at his Hoosick Falls home and transported to SP Brunswick for processing. He was arraigned at the Hoosick Falls Village Court and released on his own recognizance.
