A large anti-submarine ship 'Severomorsk' arrived at the main base of the Northern Fleet from the Arctic campaign

Today, the main base of the Northern Fleet - the city of Severomorsk - hosted a solemn meeting from the campaign of the large anti-submarine ship 'Severomorsk'. The ship performed as the flagship of the ninth Arctic campaign of ships and vessels of the Northern Fleet on the seas of the Arctic ocean. After the end of the trip to the Arctic, it completed the assigned tasks in the North Atlantic in cooperation with the tanker 'Sergey Osipov'.

The ship's welcome ceremony in Severomorsk was led by the commander of the Northern Fleet, Vice Admiral Alexander Moiseev. He congratulated the crew on successfully completing their tasks and returning to the base.

LAS 'Severomorsk' has been at sea for three months. They covered more than 12,000 nautical miles and completed more than 10 tactical exercises using artillery, missile and sea anti-submarine weapons. The ship provided the landing of marine troops on Taimyr and Chukotka, as well as firing from the 'Bastion' coastal missile system on the island of Alexandra Land.

LAS 'Severomorsk' is a regular participant in long-distance campaigns. During its service, it traveled hundreds of thousands of nautical miles and visited all the oceans. The average duration of its long campaigns is about six months.
