On June 16, 2022 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Glendale PD patrol officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Fairmont Ave. and San Fernando Rd. for an equipment violation. The officer spoke to the driver, 22-year-old Jerald Zaroukian (transient), and discovered that Zaroukian was on parole with search conditions. A search of Zaroukian's person revealed a folding knife and a driver's license belonging to someone else. Assisting units arrived and spoke to the passenger, 25-year-old Linneth Sandoval of Sylmar. A search of the vehicle produced a large nitrous oxide tank and a two foot long machete, along with a purse containing a another person's identification card, a methamphetamine pipe and several empty balloons.
