Beginning today, a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reconstruction project involving the weekend closure of the Interstate 69 main lanes will require several METRO routes to detour and may cause delays. Additionally, a prolonged closure of the two major connector ramps at I-69 and Loop 610, will require traffic patterns to adjust over the next week and may result in some route delays.
The impacted routes will include:
According to TxDOT, the northbound connector ramp from I-69 to northbound Loop 610 is closed until early 2022. On Monday, June 14, the southbound connector ramp from I-69 to northbound Loop 610 will close until late 2021. Crews will demolish both ramps during the closure and replace them with new, higher two-lane ramps in the same locations.
When planning your trip, please allow additional travel time. Real-time departure and arrival predictions using METRO's TRIP App and Next Bus Arrival Texting may experience inaccuracies for routes that are near the impacted areas.
