The Student Managed Fund Team Shines at Quinnipiac GAME Forum

Cheers and applause echo through the halls of the Chapman Center as we proudly announce the remarkable achievement of the Student Managed Fund (SMF) Class of 2024 team!

Amidst the bustling streets of New York City, the team recently showcased their exceptional talent and dedication at the Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (GAME) Forum. This event, hailed as the largest student-run conference on financial investing worldwide, provided an unparalleled platform for our students to shine.

Under the faculty mentorship of Dante Suárez, Ph.D., the team delved into current investment trends, engaged with industry professionals, and demonstrated their prowess in a global investment strategy competition.

And the result? A resounding success!

Outshining competitors from 150 national and international universities, the SMF team clinched the second spot nationally in the active portfolio growth category. These accomplishments are not just a testament to their knowledge and skill but also to their unwavering commitment to excellence.

As we count our dividends in the glow of this feat, let us extend heartfelt congratulations to every member of the senior team: Michael Black, Aaron Erol, Jack Eubank, Andrew Fort, Emily Hayes, Matthew Jacobe, Sofia Leobas de Macedo, Jack McKay, Luke Newport, Christopher Pruske, Kyle Rubovits, Lucy Orosco Saavedra, Alexander Skidmore, Ian Swafford, Sierra Vargas, and Benjamin Zapalac. As a class, they have grown the fund by 27.5% in eight months, surpassing the performance of the stock market and marking it as the most remarkable growth the SMF has ever recorded. Here's to continuing to bridge the gap between financial theory and real-world applications!
