Family Fishing Fun Nights

Date:
June 28, 2022

[Harpers Ferry, IA] - The City of Prairie du Chien's Park and Recreation Department, the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are partnering up for 'Family Fishing Fun Nights'. This 4-week event will be held each Tuesday in July, from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm, at the Washington Street Park in Prairie du Chien, WI. Poles, bait, and fishing assistance will be provided if needed.

Participants will have the opportunity to become an official Junior Ranger Angler by completing a few fun activities in the 'Let's Go Fishing' activity booklet and returning it to a participating park, wildlife refuge, or hatchery. Take the official pledge and receive your wooden Junior Angler badge. Fishing is at your own risk. All Wisconsin fishing regulations apply.

Effigy Mounds National Monument preserves a large concentration of mounds, including many Effigy Mounds, in the shape of animals. The 14 miles of hiking trails provide an insight into the social, spiritual, and ceremonial life of the Native peoples who inhabited and revered this land for thousands of years.
