SeaDream Yacht Club Becomes First Boutique Travel Line to Debut Starlink

High-speed Internet provides guests with game-changing connectivity, delivering an enhanced yachting experience

MIAMI, FL, September 7, 2022 - A satellite Internet constellation operated by Elon Musk's SpaceX, Starlink delivers high-speed Internet connectivity on board SeaDream's twin luxury yachts, SeaDream I and SeaDream II.

The news follows the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)'s decision earlier this summer to authorize SpaceX to provide satellite Internet to vehicles in motion.

In operation as part of SeaDream's $10 million renovation investment, Starlink is the world's first and largest satellite constellation using a low-Earth orbit capable of supporting high-bandwidth activities such as video streaming, online gaming, video calls, and more. By placing their Starlink constellation in low-Earth orbit, SpaceX can deliver faster Internet than other systems by decreasing the distance that information must travel to reach users.
