Celebrate Be’er Sheva Park Grand Re-Opening!

Join us! April 13th

Seattle Parks and Recreation and our partners Rainier Beach Link2Lake and Seattle Parks Foundation invite the community to come out and celebrate the renovation and re-opening of Be'er Sheva Park in Rainier Beach. Join your neighbors for a great day in the park with music, food, and fun on Saturday, April 13 from noon to 4 p.m. at the park, 8650 55th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118.

Programing on the cultural stage begins at noon with the official ribbon cutting starting at 1 p.m. followed by a community open mic and performances. The community is encouraged to come out to meet neighbors, explore the renovation, discover the new beach area, and enjoy local food and entertainment.

The most recently completed "Upland" renovation work opened to the public on January 31 and includes improved waterfront with a hand-carried boat launch, a concrete boardwalk, covered gathering spaces, lighted walking paths, BBQs and picnic tables, a cultural performance stage and artistic signage.

The next phase of improvements at the park will be the "In-Water" work project which will provide habitat enhancement for the Be'er Sheva Park shoreline to be completed by the end of 2024. The final phase will include installation of fitness equipment and renovation of the play area.

The Be'er Sheva Park project is a great example of public, private partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, Rainier Beach Link2Lake and the Seattle Parks Foundation.

Be'er Sheva Park is located in southeast Seattle on the shores of Lake Washington at 8650 55th Ave S.
