Incoming High School Seniors: Apply for Police Advisory Group & $1,000 Scholarship by July 31

Minimum Qualifications

Must live in the City of Hillsboro and be a senior in high school during the term of service. To see if you live within City limits, check your address with our Hillsboro maps tool.

The Hillsboro Police Community Advisory Group Youth Scholarship Program does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, physical or mental disability, military status, or marital or family status in its selection of scholars.

Disqualifications

  • Youth representatives are subject to the same criminal background check requirements as listed for Group members under Membership Criteria and Background Check below. Parent or guardian signature required.
  • May not be a City of Hillsboro employee or relative of a current City of Hillsboro employee.
  • May not be the subject of an open criminal investigation or criminal case pending adjudication.

Term

The appointed youth representative will be appointed to serve as a full member of the Hillsboro Police Community Advisory Group during one school year, from October through May.

Although the youth member is not required to maintain membership during the summer months, they may do so if they choose to participate.
