Little kids, big trucks, family fun at annual Public Works Play Date

Arapahoe County Public Works and Development (PWD) hosts its popular Public Works Play Date on Friday, June 10 in Centennial. The free community event for families features fun and educational activities related to the services provided by PWD divisions, including Animal Services, Building, Engineering Services, Planning, Mapping, Road and Bridge and Transportation.

The event will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dove Valley Regional Park, 7900 S. Potomac St. Kids of all ages can jump in the driver's seat of big road and bridge trucks, fill potholes, learn crosswalk safety, scan Milo's microchip, be a junior building inspector, plan a city and more.

PWD serves unincorporated Arapahoe County. The department achieved American Public Works Association accreditation for a second time this past March. To learn about this achievement and more, check out PWD's 2021 Community Report.
