Van Potter appointed to Gardner City Council

Welcome aboard to our newest councilmember, Erik Van Potter. At the Jan. 3 City Council meeting, Van Potter was appointed to fill a vacant seat that became available when Todd Winters was elected mayor during the November 2021 election and vacated his role as city council president. Van Potter has lived in Gardner since 2019. He has a strong business background, serving 20 years in financial services, where he works with numerous business owners. Van Potter has also been a successful business owner himself for two decades. Van Potter hopes to help Gardner protect what makes the city great while incorporating ideas to strengthen the community. His appointed term expires in December 2023.
