PPL Electric Utilities earns 2024 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year — Sustained Excellence Award

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Apr. 16, 2024) - PPL Electric Utilities is proud to announce that it has received the 2024 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. PPL Electric is being recognized as a Partner of the Year for a fourth straight year.

The ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award is the highest level of recognition from the Environmental Protection Agency. Each year, the program honors a select group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to energy efficiency and the transition to a clean energy economy. To earn the distinction of Sustained Excellence, a company must have already won consecutive annual awards.

"We're proud to partner with ENERGY STAR," said PPL Electric Utilities Vice President of Customer Service Lisa Norden. "Through this partnership, we've been able to help our customers make smarter energy choices every day, and those choices benefit the environment as well."

PPL Electric offers customers several ways to purchase energy-efficient appliances and equipment, including offering discounts on ENERGY STAR appliances. In 2023, PPL Electric's energy efficiency programs generated $7.3 million in customer incentives. Through these incentives, customers saved 50.5 million kWh of energy, or the equivalent of removing over 4,600 homes from the grid.
