Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted for the Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
'As our nation continues to face a pandemic that has taken the lives of over 200,000 Americans, it's critical we extend funding for our community health centers as well as Medicare and Medicaid programs, and that our federal government be fully funded to fight this virus,' said Larson. 'Experiencing a government shutdown while Americans are grappling with a pandemic, wildfires, and hurricanes would be catastrophic.
'Today's Continuing Resolution will keep our government open until December 11th and would extend funding for these critical programs. However, it's time we achieve full-year funding for these vital programs Americans are relying on more than ever before. The House has passed 10 of 12 spending bills this Congress and it's time the Senate take action to provide certainty to the American people.
