Gemini x Nadex – Introducing Cryptocurrency Binary Options

Gemini® and Nadex are partnering together to list cryptocurrency binary options on Nadex's demo trading platform.

Nadex and Gemini are proudly partnering to offer cryptocurrency markets in Nadex's demo trading platform. Our demo-only launch of crypto markets is intended to allow us to test our systems and work out any bugs in a controlled environment prior to considering expanding availability and access to everyone on our platform.

That said, we want to gauge your interest and experience, what you like or dislike about our new crypto products, and what you think could be done differently. Please share your feedback directly with us by emailing [email protected] and add 'Cryptocurrency Markets' in the subject line.

Cryptocurrency charts

You're probably wondering where the charts are, right? They are currently in development and are expected to be available on the demo trading platform in late September/early October 2021. In the meantime, we encourage you to use a third-party chart provider, such as Gemini*, to help make your decisions while you practice trading these markets and start getting comfortable with the Nadex trading platform!

Available Cryptocurrency markets

Gemini crypto binary options

The following cryptocurrency markets will be available in our demo trading platform. These contracts will be settled using the following settlement process:

• If there are more than 10 ticks in the last 10 seconds preceding expiration then it is considered a high activity market where all ticks in the last 10 seconds are collected. Remove the highest and lowest 30% of prices. If 30% of the data set is a non-integer, round down to the nearest integer and remove that many prices. Average the remaining prices and round to one decimal point past the precision of the underlying market.

• If there are fewer than 10 ticks in the last 10 seconds before expiration, it is considered a normal activity market where the last 10 ticks are collected. Remove the highest three prices and lowest three prices. Average the remaining four prices and round to one decimal point past the precision of the underlying market.
