Troutman Pepper's M&A Practice Sets Records in 2021 with 160+ Deals with a Combined Deal Value of Over $32B

NEW YORK - Troutman Pepper advised in more than 45 mergers and acquisitions during Q4 in 2021 with an overall deal value totaling more than $6.6 billion. Transactions spanned across the United States with a handful of cross-border deals, including in Canada, New Zealand, and Singapore. Completed private equity-related transactions had an overall deal value totaling almost $4 billion.

"2021 proved to be a record-setting year for Troutman Pepper's overall M&A activity in terms of the number of deals at more than 160 with a combined deal value of over $32 billion. Additionally, we completed private equity-related transactions with an overall deal value totaling over $12 billion," said Partner Matt Greenberg, who leads the firm's Corporate Practice Group. "Just a few weeks into 2022, we already are seeing a continuation of robust M&A activity, and we expect it will continue if borrowing rates remain low and market confidence stays high."
