Directories of Officers, Kansas National Guard, 1906-1945

For all you military history researchers and genealogists out there. The State Library of Kansas has an incomplete collection of publications issued by the Kansas Adjutant General listing the commissioned officers of the Kansas National Guard, 1906-1945.

These volumes include lists of officers at the state level, headquartered in Topeka, as well as infantries, squadrons, battalions, companies, detachments, cavalries, troops, etc. around the state. Some volumes include roster and relative rank of officers, a service list with chronologies of advancement in rank, service list of retired officers, and 'alterations since last roster.'

These booklets can be a tool in following the personal histories of individual officers in the Kansas National Guard covering about four decades.
