Trinity To Commemorate Class of 2024

Trinity University is excited to commemorate the achievements, growth, and discoveries of the Class of 2024 through its Spring Commencement. The undergraduate commencement ceremonies will take place on Saturday, May 11, and the graduate ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 12.

"I am thrilled to celebrate the Class of 2024 at this year's Spring Commencement," says Vanessa Beasley, Ph.D., Trinity President. "Their Trinity education has equipped them to explore diverse perspectives and tackle challenging ideas. Their unwavering kindness and natural leadership, forged during some of the difficult days of the pandemic, are testament to their personal resilience and examples of the unity and strength of our entire Tiger community."

The ceremony for Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music candidates will take place at 9 a.m. in Laurie Auditorium. The Bachelor of Science candidates' ceremony will take place at 1 p.m., also in Laurie Auditorium. Commencement for graduate students will occur at 2 p.m. in the Parker Chapel. All ceremonies will also be livestreamed on Tiger Network. Joseph C. Gathe, Jr. '78, M.D., the recipient of the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award, will give the commencement address for the undergraduate ceremonies. Shari Albright M'88, Ed.D., current Trinity trustee and former Murchison Distinguished Professor of Practice in Education,will give the commencement address for the graduate ceremony.

Trinity has a total of 571 students graduating in Spring 2024. This includes:

Bachelor of Arts - 191

Bachelor of Music - 5

Bachelor of Science - 325

Master of Arts in School Psychology - 11

Master of Arts in Teaching - 15

Master of Science in Accounting - 24

The undergraduate commencement ceremonies are ticketed events. Degree candidates can begin picking up their tickets starting Monday, April 29, at the Laurie Auditorium Box Office, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each graduating senior may request up to seven tickets. The graduate commencement will not be ticketed.

On Friday, May 10, Trinity will host celebrations for its graduates prior to the commencement ceremonies. All graduates and their families are welcome to attend a Baccalaureate Vespers Service in Parker Chapel at 5 p.m. The Baccalaureate Service, dating back to Trinity's earliest commencement ceremonies, is a time set aside the day before the conferral of the degrees for a service of inspiration, reflection, prayer, and blessing over the graduating class and their families.

After the service, there will be an Undergraduate Reception at 6 p.m. at the Magic Stones. Graduating seniors, join this special occasion to celebrate your achievements and hard work during your academic journey. Connect with fellow graduates, faculty members, and university leadership to commemorate this important milestone.

Graduate students and their families will have their own opportunity to connect and celebrate with their fellow graduates, faculty, and staff at the Graduate Reception in the Parker Chapel Courtyard immediately following the graduate commencement on May 12.
