The 9s competition will see England take on France, Lebanon and Wales in their group stage fixtures, hoping to progress to the knock-out stages and win the first ever edition of the competition.

Speaking to hullfc.com, Connor said: 'I'm delighted to have been selected - representing your country in the pinnacle of any sport and I can't wait for the chance to pull on the England jersey again.

'I've loved my time playing for England since making my debut last year and playing alongside and against such high-quality players at international level only helps my own game develop.

'Obviously nines is a little different to what I'm used to but there is a lot of pace and skill involved and it's a really exciting concept to be part of.'

Veteran forward James Graham will lead the England 9s side, made up of players based both in Super League and the NRL.
