Democracy, Human Rights, Character-Driven Leadership Celebrated at 2024 Sedona Forum

U.S. Secretaries Blinken and Yellen, Lawmakers, and Policy Experts Emphasize America's Leadership Role in the World

SEDONA, Arizona (May 5, 2024) - The McCain Institute at Arizona State University (ASU) today concluded the 2024 Sedona Forum, which celebrated the legacy of Senator John McCain and emphasized America's important leadership role in the world and the essential values of character and integrity. The theme of the 2024 Sedona Forum, "Securing our Insecure World," catalyzed conversations on democracy, curbing international influences from Russia and China, AI, and the 2024 elections.

The McCain Institute hosted U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, and more than 40 lawmakers, policy experts, and other speakers. Journalists from NBC News, The Washington Post, and the Associated Press moderated thought-provoking panels, and NBC News Meet the Press Moderator Kristen Welker conducted interviewsfrom the Sedona Forum with Arizona newsmakers.
