On 2 September at Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok Russian President Vladimir Putin has kicked off new feed production complex of Rusagro-Primorye in Mikhaylovsky District of Primorsky Krai. Opening ceremony was arranged at the joined exposition of Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic and Russian Far East Development Institutions. Project has been presented by Vadim Moshkovich, Rusagro's Chairmen of the Board of Directors.
The complex includes compound feed production plant and an elevator and is one of the key assets of vertically integrated pork production cluster of Rusagro-Primorye. Thanks to robotized shipping line, complex launched at EEF has no analogues in Russia and is one of the most modern feed production plants in the world. Feed production capacity is 450 thousand tonnes per year and storage capacity of elevator is 320 thousand tonnes of grains. The complex has received launch permission to start its operations.
Production capacity allows both to satisfy the cluster's feed demand and to export feed. After reaching full capacity, Rusagro is planning to export up to 250 thousand tonnes to the East Asia.
According to Vadim Moshkovich, Rusagro's Chairmen of the Board of Directors, the launch of the cluster should reduce pork and offal production costs in the Russian Far East, attract professionals from other Russian regions and develop small and medium-sized business in Primorsky Krai territory.
Rusagro-Primorye will not only supply population of the Russian Far East with high quality pork, but also create skilled job positions. It has already created 700 new jobs and as the vertically integrated pork production cluster, which includes 13 production assets, launches, the head count should reach more than 1,500 people. Rusagro has invested 37,5 billion roubles inclusive of VAT in the cluster.
