Bonhill Group Honors Allison Fumai in Women in Asset Management Awards
Dechert LLP financial services partner Allison Fumai has been named "Investment Consultant of the Year" by the Bonhill Group at its Women in Asset Management Awards - U.S. 2021. The awards provide a platform to showcase professionals striving for more ethical and responsible investment decisions and promote the importance of a more inclusive sector.
The "Investment Consultant of the Year" award is bestowed on a female institutional investment consultant who has broken down barriers to advancement in the financial sector, delivered for clients, and paved the way for diversity in leadership. The award is based on achievements made in the past 24 months.
Ms. Fumai focuses her practice on the representation of registered investment companies-including mutual funds, closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs)-and their investment advisers. She is widely described as a premier ETF advisor, and frequently assists clients with novel exemptive relief and first-of-their-kind products.
In announcing the award, the Bonhill Group described Ms. Fumai as a "rock star in the ETF space" and praised her superior knowledge and expertise in the ETF industry.
A fierce advocate for women in the industry, Ms. Fumai has served as hiring partner for Dechert's New York office and is a key figure within the Global Women's Initiative, a network that seeks to help women at Dechert succeed by fostering an environment that provides opportunities for their development, advancement and leadership.
Winners in all categories of the Women in Asset Management Awards - U.S. were announced in an online ceremony on September 9.
