The Center for Global Enterprise Global Scholars program and the University of Dayton Center for Cybersecurity & Data Intelligence will host a free, public, one-hour webinar on 'Educating for Cyber-Mindfulness' at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 8.
University of Dayton cybersecurity experts will share the University's strategies for helping companies and institutions train users to be mindful of their online habits and to engage in safe computing practices that will limit companies' exposure to cyber thieves and other digital disruptors.
'Much of what we'll share is from the implementation of our Cyber-Mindfulness campaign, especially lessons learned from transforming the University of Dayton user community from a source of risk to a proactive auxiliary cybersecurity force,' University of Dayton Chief Information Officer Tom Skill said.
The Center for Global Enterprise is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research center devoted to studying contemporary corporate, globalization and economic trends, and their impact on society. Global Scholars is a worldwide learning community for students, faculty and professionals interested in business to develop practical skills and contribute solutions for the business world.
'The center is currently emphasizing global supply chain cybersecurity issues and connecting universities with small and medium-sized businesses on a regional basis,' Skill said. 'This is a new area of relationship building for universities on a global scale, and our region is one of the most engaged players.'
