Get Regular Insights on Regulatory, Legislative, and Payment Issues From APTA

Keeping up with regulatory trends and commercial payer changes that affect physical therapy can feel like being lost in a maze. APTA can help you find your way through.

Again this year, the association is offering a series of live online presentations covering the latest regulatory, legislative, and payment news that has an impact on the profession. Presented by the APTA Health Policy and Payment team, the sessions provide straightforward recaps of where things stand - and where they may be headed - in Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, commercial insurance, and much more. Best of all, the presentations are offered as a free member benefit. Nonmembers may purchase access to the presentations.

The sessions are provided via the APTA Learning Center, and usually qualify for 1.0 to 2.0 continuing education contact hours. While members are encouraged to join the live sessions, all sessions are recorded for later viewing.

The most recent presentation from April 4 is a great example of a typical update, with APTA staff experts covering topics including the 2024 Medicare Advantage final rule, the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' proposed rules for SNFs and IRFs, a troubling change in the way CMS wants to share data with researchers, caregiver training codes, news related to the Change Healthcare cyberattack, and more.
