Sarah Jacobson has been named the next Director of the Texas Talking Book Program (TBP).
Previously the Manager of Records Management Assistance for the State and Local Records Management Division for eight years, Jacobson's new appointment was effective from November 1, allowing time to overlap with outgoing TBP Director Ava Smith, who retired at the end of 2019.
Sarah will continue to build on the good work that Ava has accomplished as she guides the program in future directions.
The Talking Book Program is a free library service to Texans who are unable to read standard print due to a qualifying visual, physical or reading disability. For more information about the program visit www.TexasTalkingBooks.org.
