Sidewalk improvements in Ludlow complete

Improvements in Wheeling to begin in late May

St. Joseph, Mo. - A sidewalk improvement project on Routes D and DD in Ludlow is complete as of Monday, April 29. The project to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), funded in part through the Transportation Alternatives Program, will improve sidewalks in Chula, Ludlow and Wheeling.

BRS Construction, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plans to begin construction on Route B in Wheeling in late May. Following completion of improvements in Wheeling, crews will then begin working on Route K in Chula.

Some lane closures will be necessary throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow all traffic control, flaggers, signs and barricades. All vehicles and personal property will need to be removed from the work area prior to start of construction.
