Stone Glacier and Blackhawk Provide Support for Montana Communities after Historic Flooding

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Stone Glacier and Blackhawk - brands in the Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO) portfolio with a significant Montana presence - this week announced they have made a sizable donation to Park County Community Foundation (PCCF) in Livingston, Mont., to support the organization's response and recovery efforts following recent historic flooding in Southwest Montana.

Stone Glacier and Blackhawk donated to PCCF's new fund, the Southwest Montana Flood Relief Fund, which serves the state's Park and Madison Counties. The fund, a joint effort between PCCF and the Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW), was created to "support communities affected by the severe flooding in Park County, Madison County and other areas of Southwest Montana. The funding will provide support for immediate needs like emergency shelter, drinking water, food, clothing, food replacement from lost freezers and refrigerators, and will also help with clean-up and rebuilding efforts."

The brands contributed to the fund because of a strong connection with communities across Montana at the brand and corporate levels. Stone Glacier is based in Bozeman, Blackhawk operates a manufacturing facility in Manhattan and when Vista Outdoor spins off its Outdoor Products segment in 2023, that company will be headquartered in Bozeman.

"Our hearts go out to our neighbors in Paradise Valley affected by the recent record flooding," said Jeff Sposito, President of Stone Glacier. "Our state is a tight-knit community, and being able to lend our support to the Park County Community Foundation's Southwest Montana Flood Relief Fund is a small way we can help our fellow Montanans - we know they'd do the same for us."

Vishak Sankaran, President of Outdoor Accessories, the Vista Outdoor business unit that oversees Blackhawk, echoed Sposito's comments about the need for companies that operate in the state to help in any way they can - by donating to the flood relief fund to help reopen one of the state's most iconic outdoor recreation areas.

"Blackhawk is proud to contribute to the fund established by the Park County Community Foundation and provide much-needed relief for flooding victims in Montana - a state that's near and dear to our hearts," Sankaran said. "Our company is a staunch supporter of outdoor recreation and the communities that depend on outdoor activities for their livelihood. Our thoughts are with the flood victims, and we will continue to support response efforts as these communities begin their return to normalcy."

Fred Ferguson, Vista Outdoor's Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs, added that the company's contribution will complement donations already made by dozens of other organizations and individuals.

"We applaud all those who heard the call and have come to the aid of flooding victims in Southwest Montana," Ferguson said. "A special thanks goes out to Montana's delegation of Sen. Jon Tester, Sen. Steve Daines and Rep. Matt Rosendale for their efforts in bringing relief from the federal level. A public-private effort is the surest way to clean up the flooded areas and get residents back into their homes so they can resume their lives."

This week, Stone Glacier, Blackhawk and Vista Outdoor also join Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte in reminding travelers that the state is open for business and ready for summer tourism. A great way to support communities impacted by the flooding - especially those in the Yellowstone area that were hit the hardest - is to visit their towns, shop locally, support the area guides and give their economies a much-needed and much-welcomed boost.
