Burglary Investigation in Makawao

On July 11, 2018 at 1:40 a.m. Wailuku Patrol Officers were assigned to a report of a Burglary in Progress at a residence off of Kokomo Road in Makawao.

The caller reported hearing noises coming from outside his property. An adult male was found outside the residence who said he was the victim of a Robbery and was looking for help.

The victim in the alleged Robbery said he had been approached by a vehicle with three male occupants while he was walking on a roadway in Makawao. A local male got out of the vehicle and allegedly pointed a chrome-looking handgun at him and told him to give up his backpack. The backpack and its contents were valued at over $300.00.

The males were identified as being all local looking, dark with tattoos. The vehicle was identified as a silver Honda or Acura sedan. .

An investigation into both crimes, the alleged robbery, and the burglary, are still under investigation.
