State Police arrest Malone male for sexual offenses

On April 22, 2024, SP Malone Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested, William F. Brand, age 51, of Malone, NY for Predatory Sexual Assault against a child, Course of Sexual Conduct against a child 2nd degree, Course of Sexual Conduct against a child 1st degree.

Brand was processed at SP Malone. He was arraigned in the Town of Malone Court where he was remanded to Franklin County Jail.

An investigation determined Brand had inappropriate contact with a child under the age of eleven. Through further investigation, more victims have come forward regarding Brand having inappropriate sexual contact multiple times with a child.

On April 30, 2024, SP Malone Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Brand for Sex Abuse 1; victim under 13, Sex Abuse 1; contact with an individual under the age of 11. He was arraigned in the Town of Malone Court where he was remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

The case was submitted to a Franklin County Grand Jury and the defendant is scheduled for arraignment in Franklin County Court on May 21, 2024.
