Men’s and Women’s Tennis in Action this Weekend

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- After taking two of three matches at the Missouri Western Duals last weekend, the Augustana women's tennis team begins NSIC play this weekend. The Vikings, who enter league play with a 2-1 record, hosts Minnesota State on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. inside the Greatlife Woodlake Athletic Club. On Sunday, Feb. 11, Augustana takes on Southwest Minnesota State at 8:30 a.m. at Huether Family Match Pointe in Sioux Falls.

, a junior from Opalenie, Poland, is 3-0 in doubles play this season and 2-0 in singles, and is the reigning NSIC Player of the Week. , a sophomore from Minneapolis, Minn., who won Freshman of the Year last season - is 1-0 on the season at No. 4 singles and was leading in two other matches.

Minnesota State
Minnesota State is 1-2 on the season. Last weekend they dropped a match 1-8 to Bethel University but picked up a 7-2 win over Northwestern College. Both matches were held in Owatonna, Minn.

Southwest Minnesota State
Southwest Minnesota State takes on Sioux Falls on Saturday, Feb. 10 before facing the Vikings the following day. SMSU is 2-1 on the year, but this will be their first matches since September of 2017.

The Augustana men's tennis team opens up 2018 on Sunday, Feb. 11 with a dual against Morningside at 6:30 p.m. inside the Greatlife Woodlake Athletic Club in Sioux Falls. Their last time out, the Vikings defeated Morningside 9-0.

The women's tennis team travels to Lakeville, Minn. to take on Carleton on Friday, Feb. 16 at 4:30 p.m. and then travels back to Sioux Falls to host U-Mary the following day at 7 p.m.

The men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 24 and takes on Carleton at 2 p.m. in Rochester, Minn.
