Washington, DC- COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective to prevent severe illness or death from COVID-19. Getting vaccinated is also one of the best ways to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. To help in the fight against COVID-19, Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-09) is hosting a COVID-19 Vaccination Event in Stockton at Taft Community Center on Monday, December 13th from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. With COVID-19 vaccine eligibility now expanded to include children ages 5-11, this event will provide the opportunity for individuals and families who have not received a vaccine to get vaccinated. Many people who previously got the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines can now also get a booster shot as well as everyone ages 18 and older who received the J&J/Janssen vaccine.
Congressman McNerney's office will be providing free pizza to those in attendance.
