Premier Li Keqiang met with Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga on Feb 27 in Beijing.
Premier Li said the visit paid by President Khaltmaa Battulga to China shows Mongolia's firm support to China's fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and friendship with the Chinese people.
China highly values the relationship with Mongolia, and President Xi Jinping will hold a talk with Battulga to plan for the development of bilateral relations, the Premier said.
He added that China is willing to work with Mongolia to mitigate the impact of the epidemic and gradually resume normal contacts and cooperation.
Premier Li said he believed that the two countries will have new opportunities for development after overcoming the epidemic.
The Premier said epidemic prevention in China is showing positive changes, and more arduous work should be done to fight against the virus.
He added that the Chinese government is coordinating epidemic control and social and economic development, and has the confidence and ability to achieve the growth target this year.
China, Premier Li said, is releasing related information about the COVID-19 outbreak to international society in an open, transparent, and timely manner, and is willing to enhance exchanges, experience sharing, and prevention coordination to safeguard the world's public health security.
Battulga expressed his sympathy to the Chinese people who are suffering losses amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
China has achieved positive results with strong measures to curb the epidemic in a very short period of time, and it is believed that China will surely win the fight against the epidemic, Battulga said.
The Mongolian side is willing to stand together with China to overcome difficulties, he added.
Since it is a consistent policy to develop long-term, good-neighborly relations with China, Mongolia is willing to strengthen political mutual trust with China, consolidate good-neighborly relations, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and push bilateral relations to a new level.
State Councilor Wang Yi and He Lifeng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission, also were present.
