Executive Director of Thailand’s Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) paid a courtesy call on Ambassador

On 14 May 2022, Dr. Pakorn Apaphant, Executive Director of Thailand's Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) and representatives from GISTDA paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, on the occasion of their visit to the ROK to meet with The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and other ROK space agencies. The Executive Director informed of GISTDA's goals for cooperation with the ROK, which consist of 5 focus areas: (1) space port development (2) satellite development (3) Thailand's 'Man to Moon' mission (4) satellite information service, and (5) capacity building for Thai personnel in aerospace. The Ambassador expressed readiness to provide support to GISTDA by helping to connect and coordinate with the ROK side in order to promote and advance Thailand's space industry to further serve the country's best interests.
