CH Collins Full Scale Exercise

Denton, TX - May 1, 2024 - The City of Denton, in collaboration with Denton Independent School District, is scheduled to hold an emergency training exercise at the CH Collins Athletic Complex on Thursday, May 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This exercise will simulate a scenario that tests the preparedness and response capabilities of the city's public safety agencies.

The exercise will include a simulated emergency with first responders and a large presence of emergency vehicles at the CH Collins Athletic Complex. It is important to note that this is a planned exercise and not a real emergency. Additionally, the City of Denton has planned to place visible signage on Long Road the day of the training. Please be advised that the scenario and timing are subject to change based on conditions that may arise unexpectedly.

This training event is designed to enhance the coordination and communication between emergency responders, school officials, and community stakeholders, and to ensure that we are fully prepared to respond effectively to an emergency.
