District stages of all-army competitions of military engineers Safe Route and Engineering Formula will be held near Rostov-on-Don

From March 15 to March 19, at the Borodinovsky training ground in the Kamensk-Shakhtinsky district of the Rostov region, the district stages of the competitions of the International Army Games 2021 among military engineers Safe Route and Engineering Formula will take place.

About 200 servicemen in four teams will take part in the Safe Route competition, six teams will be involved in the Engineering Formula competition, incl. the team of the 11th Separate Guards Engineering Brigade - the winner of the international competition Safe Route for the last three years.

On an equipped track of about 2 kilometres, it is required to allow the column to pass through obstacles such as a section of a remotely planted minefield, an anti-tank 6 meters wide ditch, a destroyed section of a column track of 50 metres long and a pile of burning logs.

The Engineering Formula contest program includes a relay race where each team perform as part of crews to complete engineering tasks. The relay is held in stages, its length is 4 thousand meters, and the width of the carriageway is 16 meters.

Each crew crossed one lap of the route with a stop at a pit stop, where they performed a special task typical for the model of military equipment.

The competition will end on March 19. The crews of the teams that showed the best results will go to the all-army stage of the competition, where they will fight for the opportunity to represent the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation at ARMI-2021.
