A severe weather warning and numerous flood warnings and watches remain current for Queensland with more rainfall expected.
Rain is expected to continue across south-east and central Queensland today and possibly Saturday.
With many catchments already saturated, there is an increased risk of significant rises to creeks, rivers and streams and dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding, with localised landslides also possible.
Numerous Flood Warnings are current across the state, including:
Damaging surf and locally damaging winds may develop on the south-east Queensland coast today.
Due to the evolving nature of the situation, it is very important that people closely monitor the forecast and warnings.
Communities in these areas are advised to stay up to date via the Bureau's website (www.bom.gov.au/warnings/qld) and the BOM Weather App and follow the advice of emergency services.
