Update Report: Train Derailment near Hereford, TX (Hereford Subdivision)

On Monday, August 17, 2022 at approximately 5:07 a.m. CDT, BNSF incurred a train derailment near Hereford, TX which has affected the main tracks. Hereford, TX is approximately 45 miles southwest of Amarillo, TX. BNSF personnel are clearing derailed equipment and restoring track, with main track one returned to service on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 at 5:15 p.m. CDT. The estimated time for opening main track two is Thursday, August 18th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. CDT.
