Celebrate EMPOWER April 28

Please join us in celebrating another successful year of the EMPOWER program Sunday, April 28, from 5-7 p.m. EMPOWER is a four-year non-degree-seeking program for students with cognitive disabilities. Our program is made up of 21 EMPOWER students and over 150 peer mentors who are traditional students on campus.

EMPOWER started an RSO this year in hopes of bringing more awareness to our program and to help build a stronger and more neurodiverse inclusive community. Our event will highlight some of the opportunities we have had throughout this past school year, along with the importance of building a culture that promotes neurodivergent inclusivity. We want this event to be a learning opportunity as well as a chance to engage with our students and peer mentors. Dinner will be provided.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this event, please contact Lucie Hughes, [email protected].
