KRISPY KREME® to Celebrate Grand Opening of Toledo Shop Jan. 14

Product innovations and enhanced guest experiences part of brand's return to area

Toledo, Ohio (Jan. 8, 2020) - Toledo residents and dignitaries will celebrate the return of the beloved destination for hot, fresh doughnuts, premium coffee and now doughnut-infused ice cream on Tuesday, Jan. 14, when Krispy Kreme hosts the grand opening of its new shop at 3145 Secor Road.

In addition to providing fans an expanded menu, including Original Glazed® Doughnut-infused ice cream available in hand-spun milkshakes and scoop sandwiches, the shop will feature a new design offering a "stylistic wink" to Krispy Kreme's heritage, while capturing the brand's fun, warm and authentic personality.

The shop's expanded menu includes:

• Scoop sandwiches, the brand's take on the classic ice cream sandwich, featuring Original Glazed Doughnut-infused ice cream, scooped between a sliced doughnut with a combination of toppings and drizzles. Options include Vanilla Sprinkled, Triple Chocolate, Cookies & Kreme™, Vanilla Chip, Chocolatey Caramel Coconut, and Vanilla Fruity Crunch.
• Hand-spun milkshakes made with Original Glazed Doughnut-infused ice cream, topped with whipped cream and a mini-Original Glazed Doughnut. Flavors include Vanilla Glazed, Double Chocolate, Salty Caramel, Classic Strawberry, and OREO® Cookies & Kreme™.

Guests will also experience digital and interactive enhancements, including digital menu boards, online ordering, delivery, and in-shop self-service pickup, as part of Krispy Kreme's continued initiative to enhance guests' journey, including access to hot, fresh doughnuts whenever and however they want.

Local dignitaries and residents will join Krispy Kreme team members and managers at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the new shop. Additionally, Krispy Kreme will randomly surprise guests with a "Celebration Dozen Ticket" that provides one free dozen Original Glazed® Doughnuts every month for a year.

The shop will be open seven days a week: Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
