A new training year has begun in the Pacific Fleet

In 2021, the Pacific Fleet has significantly increased the number of tasks performed at sea by surface ships and submarines, which has increased the surfacing of ships by more than 1.5 times and the number of combat exercises performed by 1.3 times compared to the 2020 training year. For the first time in recent history, an operational exercise of the forces of the Pacific Fleet was conducted in the central part of the Pacific Ocean. More than 20 warships, submarines and ships of the Pacific Fleet, aircraft and helicopters of naval aviation were involved in this exercise alone.

Pacific sailors participated in the Russian-Chinese naval exercise Maritime Interaction-2021, and the national teams of the Russian Navy won a landslide victory in the competitions of the army international games Sea Cup-2021 and Seaborne assault-2021, which were held in the area of responsibility of the Pacific Fleet.

At the moment, the tasks off the coast of Indonesia are performed by the crew of the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleev, which represents the Russian Navy in the international naval exercise Russia-ASEAN.

One of the main tasks in 2022 is the participation of the Pacific Fleet in the strategic command and staff exercise Vostok-2022, as well as other exercises, including international ones.
