BALTIMORE, MD (Thursday, April 18, 2024) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the City of Baltimore highlighted the a citywide hiring event "Baltimore Is Hiring" aimed at connecting job seekers with a wide range of employment opportunities within local government, particularly historically hard-to-hire positions. The event was initially announced during Mayor Scott's 2024 State of the City Address.

"The City of Baltimore is fueled by thousands of hard-working public servants who have dedicated their lives to supporting our residents," said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. "Not only am I deeply grateful for their service, but these jobs provide great opportunities, a living wage, and an opportunity to support a family and build a life right here in the city we all love. Come explore all the options at our citywide hiring event, because Baltimore Is Hiring."

This event will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the War Memorial Building located at 101 N. Gay Street.

Over 15 City agencies and quasi agencies will be in attendance to recruit for vacancies in over 100 job classifications. Job seekers will have the opportunity to network with hiring managers, submit resumes, and learn more about employment opportunities within city government. The hiring event is free for all job seekers to attend.
