Is it a “Birdie” or an “Eagle”? Birding Hike at National Park

Date:
July 5, 2022

INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL PARK: Join a ranger for a birding hike on a long-abandoned golf course that is now part of Indiana Dunes National Park. Enjoy an easy walk through the "rough" on Sunday July 10, 17, and 24 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. We'll "tee off" through a "green" area of the park known to few humans but "par" for a variety of bird species. No golf clubs, carts or caddies needed. Meet at the Dunewood Campground check-in building. Birders of all levels are welcome. Bring your own binoculars or borrow ours.

Dunewood Campground is located at 645 Broadway Avenue in Beverly Shores, Indiana. The campground is just south of the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and Broadway Avenue. For more information on this and other programs at Indiana Dunes National Park you can call 219-395-1882.
