Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh receives Indian Ambassador to Vietnam

(Bqp.vn) - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, former Deputy Defence Minister, hosted a reception for Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Pranay Verma on June 14.

At the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh thanked Ambassador Pranay Verma for supporting cooperation between the two countries in general and the Vietnam - India defence relations in particular. He emphasized that Vietnam always appreciates the great support of India during Vietnam's struggle for independence and national construction. Affirming that defence cooperation has always been one of the important pillars in the relationship between the two countries, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh hoped that Ambassador Pranay Verma would continue to support and contribute to consolidating and further promoting the relationship between the two countries, including defence cooperation in the coming time.

For his part, Ambassador Pranay Verma thanked Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh for the warm reception and highly appreciated effective contributions of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh in promoting defence cooperation between the two countries over the past time.

During the reception, the two sides emphasized that, over the past time, despite being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, defence cooperation contents between the two countries have been actively maintained and effectively implemented, obtaining good results in various fields.
