FAMUR AND EDF RENEWABLES IN POLAND ARE PLANNING TO COOPERATE IN THE FIELD OF RENEWABLE ENERGY

The FAMUR Group has signed a letter of intent with the EDF Renewables to confirm the interest of both parties in the possible cooperation within renewable energy sources (RES) area. The companies are considering undertaking joint activities in the field of development and implementation of projects in Poland, including but not limited to wind energy. The signing of the document is another step towards diversification of the FAMUR Group's business activities in line with the new strategic directions adopted in May 2021.

The main goal of the FAMUR Group is to transform into a holding company participating in the green transformation and to achieve approximately 70% of revenues from sources not related to energy coal by 2024. Cooperation with EDF Renewables in the RES area of is another step towards diversifying the FAMUR Group's business activities.

- EDF Renewables has extensive experience in the RES area and notably in in the design, preparation, construction and operation of renewable energy sources. The FAMUR Group has competences based on many years of experience in the design and construction of equipment for industry, including advanced gearboxes out of the mining machinery segment. Prospects for the development of Polish wind energy, both offshore and onshore, and other RES areas, combined with the technical and economic potential of the FAMUR Group and EDF EN Polska, create favorable environment for cooperation, comments Dawid Gruszczyk, Vice President of the Management Board of FAMUR S.A.
