LAREDO, Texas - Officials from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) today hosted an open house at the Laredo Immigration Hearing Facility (IHF) for individuals representing Non-Governmental Organizations. The Open House featured a tour of the facility and an overview of the processes involved at the IHF.
The agencies issued the following statement on the event:
'We are pleased to host an informational open house at the Laredo Immigration Hearing Facility for local and national non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as part of our ongoing efforts to educate the community better regarding the purpose and function of these facilities, to increase transparency, to build greater understanding, and to provide access to these facilities for members of the public.'
