The PhD in Educational Neuroscience (PEN) program is offering a special topics course in Social Neuroscience and Learning. The course is taught by Dr. Lorna Quandt, and is offered Wednesday mornings, 9 a.m. to noon. This class is open to graduate students or to undergraduates with permission from the instructor. This course examines how social processes in the human brain support learning from infancy through adulthood. Topics to be discussed include theory of mind, empathy, mirror neurons, imitation, stereotypes, and group dynamics. Course will be based upon current research findings in the field.
