WASHINGTON - Senator John Hoeven, ranking member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee and a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development recently awarded funding to three North Dakota entities. Details are as follows:

  • Towner County Hospital Authority - $10.9 million loan to construct a critical access hospital and nursing home.
  • City of Napoleon - $590,000 loan and a $380,000 grant to replace water and waste water infrastructure.
  • City of New Salem - $1.9 million loan and a $1.5 million grant to replace sewer pipe under city streets.
