Amador County Public Health (ACPH) reports 44 more individuals with COVID-19 since last Tuesday (66% unvaccinated). Cases include 12 children under 18 years, 18 age 18-49, 5 age 50-64, and 9 age 65 and above. Confirmed cases in 2021 total 2,477. There are currently 43 active cases in isolation.

With the holidays approaching, vaccination will protect yourself, your family, and your loved ones, in combination with other protective measures. No-cost COVID-19 vaccine clinics will be held at the Health and Human Services Building (HHS), 10877 Conductor Blvd, Sutter Creek this week on Thursday (Nov. 18), Friday (Nov. 19) and Sunday (Nov. 21) from 9 AM to 6 PM, and Tuesday (Nov. 23) from 9 AM to noon, closed between 1 PM to 2 PM for lunch each clinic day. Visit to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will be accepted before 5:30 pm. Appointments may be scheduled for any dose of any COVID-19 vaccine by visiting the website or calling 1-833-422-4255. All three COVID-19 vaccines are available for any dose including booster doses.

  • Any adult who considers themselves at-risk may get a booster dose.
  • Everyone 65 and over and anyone with underlying medical conditions are encouraged to get a booster dose.
  • Anyone who received Johnson & Johnson more than two months ago is recommended to get a booster.
  • Those who received Pfizer or Moderna are recommended to get their booster at least six months after their second dose.
  • People may receive booster shots of either the vaccine they originally received or a different vaccine.

Pediatric Pfizer vaccine is also available for 5 to 11 year old children. Parents who are interested in vaccinating their children should speak with their pediatrician or visit to schedule an appointment. Retail pharmacy availability may be checked at

The OptumServe testing site at HHS continues to operate on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM. Please register for this no-cost testing at the website or by calling 1-888-634-1123. OptumServe will accommodate walk-ins on a limited basis. Masks are required at the testing site. Get tested 1-3 days before a gathering, or prior to any travel, even if you have no symptoms. Anyone who is exhibiting symptoms, even fully vaccinated individuals, should isolate and get tested.
